Drawing on an observational study with developers and intervie ws with managers\, this talk explores how chatbots are adopted in practice and how organizations respond. \;Francisco will \;outline common& nbsp\;practitioners’ experiences \;that shape usage\, and examine th e contexts\, barriers\, and strategies that guide policy-making. Together\ , these perspectives highlight both the opportunities and tensions of brin ging chatbots into everyday software engineering. \;BioFrancisco (he / him) is an Associate Professor at Chalmers University of Technology and t he University of Gothenburg\, Sweden. He received his PhD in Computer Scie nce from the Universidade Federal de Campina Grande (UFCG\, Brazil). His r esearch focuses on AI bots for assisting software engineering and automate d software testing\, often conducted in close collaboration with industry. His work has been funded by WASP\, Vinnova\, and other agencies. A passio nate educator\, he has received two pedagogical prizes for his innovative teaching methods.
